But, based on the attachments to your email, if you have changed your ribbon cables so that you are booting from the Maxtor drive, then from the boot menu produced by the boot.ini file, you would select the option for the partition on [d:0, p2]. In other words, your screen image indicates that your new XP partition (target drive G) is the second partition on your boot drive. Hope that's what you are looking for. Dan
