Well, after sending this email, I tried to rule out some other factors like= the drive format, the .bat file, and copying over the network, so I tried = running this at the DOS prompt: xxcopy C:\Drivers\*.* C:\Temp\ /ks /h /e /r /q /y /bi I got the same result. After running it 4 times in a row, xxcopy wanted to= copy the entire "Drivers" folder, rather then the incremental changes afte= r the first copy. Xcopy, worked fine. I also tried /bu, /bn, and /bi but = every time, all of my files are copied rather then just the ones that have = changed. Any thoughts?=20=20 Brian =A0 ________________________________________ From: Kan Yabumoto [mailto:tech@x...]=20 Sent: Thursday, February 05, 2004 4:06 PM To: xxcopy@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [xxcopy] Backup problems I'm trying to run a backup from my work PC to my home PC using the latest f= reeware xxcopy.=A0 The command looks like this... xxcopy "\\aspnes-dsk\E\mine\*.*" "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Docume= nts\mine\" /ks /h /e /r /q /y /bi I've also tried /bu, /bn, and /bi but every time, all of my files are copie= d rather then just the ones that have changed (even if I try it 2-3 times i= n a row).=A0 If I use xcopy instead of xxcopy, only the new ones are copied= .=A0 I'm placing the command above in a .bat file and double clicking the .= bat file when I run it.=A0 I only want to copy the new and updated files, n= ot all of them.=A0 What am I doing wrong?
