You can make XXCOPY do the same thing copy-and-paste does, but XXCOPY is more 
versatile, making it easy to do incremental backups, exclude certain 
directories, certain files, with or without certain criteria, etc.

Message boards are good for some things, but using a listserv is like getting 
a newspaper. You do not have to read every article. But some folks may have 
a question that sparks an idea in you, like "I didn't know you could do that 
with XXCOPY!" Or you can delete messages without reading them. Most folks on 
this list put descriptive messages in their subject lines.

Kan can speak for himself. However I think he wants the product available to 
as many people as possible worrying about funding. I suspect he might do 
things differently if his goal were strictly a commercial product.
