The /BI option will copy a file from the source if it is a different size, or has a different date/time stamp, than the corresponding file in the destination. The key word there is "different". So with /BI an older source file will replace a newer destination file. To have xxcopy copy only files that are not present in the destination, or files that are newer than those in the destination, change /BI to /BN Or, if you use /CLONE or /BACKUP you can just add /BN to override /BI (one of the options included in /CLONE and /BACKUP) Also in your command list options /ks/h/r/q/bi/ze/ the last / is invalid, I assume that was a typo on your part.
