The only way to avoid this is to use the screen display and re-direct that to a file. The screen display can be customised to show what you want (e.g. /of3/oe3/od3) then use >> to append the display to your log file. Of course you don't see the screen display when you do this although you could use a TEE utility to send the display to both the screen and a file. The alpha version (2.86) includes a switch to completely suppress the parameter listing so you'll be able to do it when that version is released. Garry
