You would need to carry > out a separate defrag of the destination. >Garry I figured as much, but if the destination HDD is defragged and then a copy is sent to it, it will probably write in the same random pattern that it does on the source drive..ie: writes to the next available sectors. I suppose if a defrag is done, it should be after the back-up. Actually, I was just curious. With XP, the OS does, I'm told, some of its own file re-arrangement during idle time.
