On the GUI interface for xxclone there is a place to check off whether you want the MBR to be created when you run xxclone. That corresponds to various /BC options.

It would make sense for xxclone to always create an MBR when there is no pre-existing MBR but since the xxclone process is unable to check whether there is a pre-existing MBR, the default approach has become one of requiring the user to specify whether an MBR should be written, rather than have a default approach that would overwrite a pre-existing MBR and cause potential unexpected problems for the user. I don't think there is a prompt for the user to specify whether an MBR is to be set up but only an option selection on the GUI interface.
