The destination is always considered to be a directory and you can't change this. However there are 2 command groups (/SGx and /SL/SX/SR) that do some special renaming operations. Depending on what you are trying to do, you may be able to use these to accomplish the task. Post again with the specifics (including OS) of what you want to do and we might be able to help. Alternately, there are plenty of file renaming programs freely available that will almost certainly do what you want. Garry
