If this is a dumb sounding post, please consider that I am writing this at 2:00 AM EST. I am getting somewhat desperate, and I a very new to XXCOPY, and so I would appreciate any help. I tried using robocopy to do what I need to do, and though I've had success with robocopy in the past (NT 4.0 server to NT 4.0 server), I am having a problem with this task. Here are the details. I need to copy the data AND the security information on the files and folders from a BDC (NT 4.0) to a Windows 2000 member server. With robocopy, I am able to copy the files over successfully, and the security permissions "appear" to be correct, but the clients cannot access the data, once it is on the W2K server. So...instead of going any further with the explanation, does anyone feel that XXCOPY will help me get over this hurdle? I've never used it. I have NO problem buying it, but I desperately need something that will work. Otherwise, the team leaders and management will expect me to apply the security permissions on all of the folders by hand. Any and all help that you can provide will be much welcomed. Thank you, Craig
