The only thing I can suggest which it doesn't look like you've tried yet is to use the full path in the exclusion e.g. /x"\\El-Diablo\My_Documents\DEP.DUS". Maybe Xxcopy will find that and exclude it properly. Probably not a solution but you could also try mapping a drive to the share to see whether that makes any difference (because this changes the base path, adjust your exclusions accordingly). net share n: \\El-Diablo\My_Documents xxcopy n:\ c:\test\ /xDEP.DUS Garry
