Nothing to do with xxcopy, but this is one of the few places you can get any real help. I use Webroot's WindowWasher which has a nice Cookie Keeper function allowing ID cookies of various forms to be kept. (ZAP does the same thing in a different way.) WindowWasher's domain & cookie info and the cookies themseleves can be readily transfered between computers. But the Cookie folder is apparently only a copy of cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder. You can put things in the cookie folder, but apparently only IE can load anything in the Temporary Internet Files folder. In W98 at least, Drag & Drop "appears" to circumvent this but nothing actually shows up as transfered. The Temperorary Internet Files folder is one of those mysterious system areas anyway. If you use the Internet Options to delete these files they will copy anyway in a disk copy outside Windows, even though invisible to Explorer. All I've ever figured is, Windows makes the space available, but doesn't actually delete anything there. Or it's still available to them that knows how? Where WindowWasher "seems" to actually get rid of it. But I digress... I'm wanting to transfer the daily updated cookie data from my active machine to my backup machine. Any ideas on how to load anything into the Temporary Internet Files in W98? Short of actually going to the same places on both machines that is! DES
