I do know what they are, and don't care about them, and am trying to ignore them. I'm definitely Not trying to synchronize them. They wind up where they aren't wanted needed or used (by the local OS) and only take up space, via the backdoor mechanism described. Once this happens I claim xxcopy can not identify the fact. They definitely have to be "processed seperately" and that was exactly the point. I can certainly delete them all. Or can configure XP to not create them in the first place. But none of that address the problem does it. DES
