I'm dumber than a box of rocks when it comes to servers but I understand there are some issues being worked on involving xxcopy and the successful copying of security and permissions. It seems to work fine in some systems but not in others. So the best advice seems to be to try it on an experimental basis and see if it works properly in your system.

I know that's not exactly the answer you were looking for, but it's the best one I can come up with.
