The recent discovery of the extentionless file exclusion bug brought me back to DPE.DUS. Perhaps you remember? //My Documents.xcf------- //Source----------------- "\\El-Diablo\My Documents\" //Destination------------ "C:\My Documents\" //Switches--------------- /BZ //Backs up different size files, including new /Q //Does not display files that are skipped /S //Recurse Subdirectories /Y //No overwrite prompts //Log File Specifications- /oN:"C:\My Documents\Scripts\El-Diablo Sync\Sync.log" //New Log File /oF2 //File list (files that were successfully operated on) /oD2 //Deleted-file list /oE2 //Error summary //Exclusions-------------- /X:Dpe.dus /X:Thumbs.db /X:"My Albums\" /X:"My DVDs\" /X:"My Music\My Playlists\" /X:"My Music\My Recordings\" /X:"My Music\Sample Music.lnk" /X:"My Pictures\Downloads\" /X:"My Pictures\Sample Pictures.lnk" /X:"My Received Files\" /X:"Private\Donald E. Smith.*" /X:"Private\ZAP Security Settings.zip" /X:Scripts\ That DPE.DUS file exists only on the Remote Source. No possible version of specifying it's exclusion will actually exclude it? The exclusion works fine when the Source is Local and the Destination is Remote. OK yesterday I added 2 other files to this case. They are specifically: "Donald E. Smith.flp" & "Donald E. Smith.ivb". If these exclusions are specified by adding /X:*.flp & /X:*.ivb to the above Command File they too are ignored just as the DPE.DUS file is. However, by adding them as shown above (including their path relative to the Source) then the exclusion works as it should. Which is at least another inconsistancy, if nothing else. DES
