Thanks No, generally not because of lack of LFN support and paths that are too deep under DOS. You can do it that way using a Win PE (or Bart PE) boot CD or by using xxcopy and ERUNT however the easiest way is to use xxclone http://www.xxclone.com/ Although still in Beta, xxclone does pretty much what you want but makes the D drive bootable. After cloning from C to D, if you need to restore, you boot to D then xxclone from D to C. Garry
