Kaya, Forgive me for being blunt but if you search the archives you will find a multitude of messages with the answer to your question. In summary, xxcopy can not copy these files because they are locked by the operating system. This is a design of Windows XP and there is nothing xxcopy can do to bypass this issue. Therefore, you will either have to accept you can not copy these files or use another method besides xxcopy. All the answers to your questions, and much more, can be found in the archives. Regards, rotaiv.
